Introduction -

Tuff Coat Anti Tar Clear Lacquer is two component systems designed to cure at room temperature. It consists of Base component & Hardener component which on mixing cross-link to form tough film with outstanding durability, chemical & weather resistance.

RANGE OF APPLICATION
Besides its excellent gloss & gloss retention properties, it also provides resistance to UV Light as it contains UV absorber. This Lacquer can be suitably applied on properly cured Epoxy Paints, Stoving Enamels, and PU-Paints; faster drying is an added advantage. This makes the system useful for maintenance coatings, structural coating etc. Resistance to Oils, Alcohol, Salty weather, Abrasion & heat make the system ideal for Aircraft finishes, transport finishes & chemical Industries. It is also recommended on electroplated components to resist the weather effect & degradation of plating /coating. When applied on it is also shows excellent results in automobile Top Coat; which resists the degradation of Top Coat finish & imparts the High Gloss.

Pot life after mixing base & Hardener 2 - 3 Hrs.
Application By Brush, Roller & spray using Tuff Coat PU-101 Thinner
Recommended DFT 20 - 30 Microns per coat
Drying Time Surface Dry 40 - 45 minutes
Tack free 2.5 - 3 Hrs.
Hard Dry 14 - 15 Hrs.
Over-coating Interval Minimum 6 - 8 Hrs., Maximum 3 - 4 days

Thinner Tuff Coat PU-101 Thinner

Application:
Ensure that the surface is free form dust & foreign particles. Mix Base component & Hardener component in the ratio 4: 1, thin down to get required viscosity using PU-101 Thinner.

STABILITY OF HARDENER
Once the hardener container is opened, try to consume it immediately, because it reacts with moisture in the atmosphere, which results into gellation.

Introduction
TUFF COATS EP-101 EP FL CLEAR is the two component system, designed to cross link at room temperature as well as low temp baking. Medium molecular weight Epoxy Resin is used in base component, contain average two epoxy groups per molecule which reacts with hardeners EP-101, the same are converted into a hard, infusible, three dimensional cross linked irreversible Thermoset film at an ambient or elevated temperature.
EP-101 Epoxy EP FL Clear is having outstanding chemicals resistance with high gloss and excellent hardness. It gives nice decorative appeal. Product gives adhesion to many type of substrates, excellent flexibility & abrasion resistance

Range of Application
The system recommended for application on suitably primed steel structure exposed to chemical and industrial environment in refineries, petrochemicals, paper and pulp plants, food and pharmaceutical units, and fertilizer industries. This product can be applied on floor for protection from saline and chemicals.Can be used on Concrete surfaces. This product is recommended for use in sea weather (Coastal Areas).

KEY PROPERTIES
1. The ability to be cured rapidly or slowly over wide range of temperature. Cold curing and baking both are possible.
2. Low shrinkage during cure.
3. Excellent adhesion to many different substrates.
4. High level of mechanical strength, which is retained at, elevated temperatures.
5. Outstanding toughness and good flexibility.
6. Excellent solvent, Acid and Alkali resistance. Excellent water and alcohol resistance, salty water resistance. (Not recommended for immersion)
7. Unaffected by Oil and Grease, detergents.
8. Good electrical properties.
9. The System is suitable for Food & Pharma packaging industry.

Pot Life After mixing of Base and Hardener is Limited to 2-3 Hrs & in case of Solvent less System it is reduced to 40-45 minutes.
Application By Brush, Roller, and Airless and conventional spray with using TC/EP 102 Thinner
Recommended DFT 30 - 35µ per coat. In case of solvent less system it is 80 -100µ
Covering and spreading rate Theorotical (Practical by conventional spray). & on non absorbent surface 10 - 12.5 Sq. Mtr/ Ltr. By brushing.

Drying Time: Dry to handle 4 - 6 hrs.
Hard Dry Over night.
Complete cure time 6 to 8 days (depending on R.T)

Thinner TC/EP-102

APPLICATION
Before application of topcoat EP-102 Epoxy EP FL Clear do all necessary pretreatment of the job. For M. S. surface, remove grease oil and other contamination by using proper degreasing agent. Blast clean the surface for heavy rusting or remove with de-rusting chemicals to clean the surface. For old concrete, remove all salt deposition /fungal growth, loosely bound coatings, and dust particles and make the surface rough. Also for new concrete coating do the needful pretreatment, priming and then apply topcoat EP- 101 Epoxy Paint. Use EP-101 Epoxy Primer Red Oxide Zinc Phosphate or Zinc chromate before applying the topcoat. Stir the base component thoroughly and mix three parts of base and one part of hardener by volume to uniform consistency. Allow it for intermediate reaction for few min for stabilization and stir again before use. Make required viscosity as per application method with TC/EP-102 Thinner.
The pot lifetime is only limited so mix the materials as per requirement. Close the containers immediately, to avoid the chances of moisture absorption in material and solvent losses. Do not apply in humid condition, during raining or mist and fog or at very low temperature below 10° - 12° C.

Mainly Automobile Industries, Increases aesthetic appeal of paint film, over-coating on metallic finishers.
